Freebee Friday!!!

Now that SYTYCD is over, we get to get back to Freebee Fridays!! Yay!

So, I thought I’d kick it off with a bang. This is my favorite episode of The X-Files and happens to have this is a great poem in it. Everytime I listen to it, it just tugs at my heart, and I’m not sure why. I think it’s a combination of things. David Duchoveny does a such a superb job reading it, and I really do love Robert Browning.

So, enjoy!

At times I almost dream

I too have spent a life the sages’ way,

And tread once more familiar paths. Perchance

I perished in an arrogant self-reliance Ages ago; and in that act a prayer For one more chance went up so earnest, so Instinct with better light let in by death, That life was blotted out — not so completely But scattered wrecks enough of it remain, Dim memories, as now, when once more seems

The goal in sight again.

–Robert Browning, Precursor to Paracelsus II

So, I promise to start writing more post-y things on here. I’ve just been so INCREDIBLY busy. Finishing up the final rounds of edits to CASTE so I can get it off, then preparing for the feis this week

Freebee Friday!

There are a lot of funny commercials on tv right now. And since I’m in the market for a new phone, I notice those the most. Here’s the one I want. And they just happen to have one that makes me laugh.
